A Lancaster Family Business

Movers & Co. was founded in 2017 by Christian Santos, a Lancaster County local with a background in aerospace and defense engineering and one clear goal: moving should be done the right way, by people who actually care.

Our Story

Christian grew up between Brooklyn, New York and Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. In 1997, his parents made the decision to relocate the family to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, looking for better opportunities and a stronger future for their kids.

When they arrived, family members showed up to help them move in. Not everyone has that kind of support. That experience of being helped when it mattered most is the reason Movers & Co. exists, and the reason it operates the way it does today.

Christian went on to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and Millersville University, both right here in Lancaster. He spent years working as an engineer in the aerospace and defense industry before stepping away to build Movers & Co. full-time. Today, he lives in Lancaster County with his wife and their three children, all born and raised here.

How We Work

Movers & Co. is not a van line. We are an expedited service moving company, which means your belongings are never combined with another customer’s load. From the moment we load your items to the moment we deliver them, your shipment travels alone, under our care and our care only.

Our trucks are dedicated moving trucks. We do not haul trash, and we never have. Your furniture, boxes, and personal belongings will never be placed in a truck that has been used for trash removal. We take that standard seriously because your belongings deserve better than that.

Move It Forward

Every year, Movers & Co. donates a free move to a Lancaster County family that needs one. No income requirement. No complicated process. Anyone can apply, and anyone can nominate someone they know.

It is named after the thing that matters most: helping someone take their next step forward. It is what happened for the Santos family when they first arrived in Lancaster. Not everyone has family to call on. Move It Forward is Movers & Co.’s way of showing up for someone who doesn’t.

The guys showed up right on time, they were very pleasant. They moved all of our furniture, took apart and put back together. They moved things I didn’t expect them too. They were so friendly, quick and did an amazing job. 10/10 !
